About Martin Reeves

Martin is a thinker, writer and advisor on strategy, innovation and creativity. He founded and led the BCG Henderson Institute, BCG’s think tank on new ideas for business. He is a regular contributor to HBR, MIT SMR, Fortune and other practitioner journals and a regular public speaker, including 3 TED talks.
Martin is coauthor of Like: The Button That Changed The Word, which examines how technological innovation works in practice. He is co-author of The Imagination Machine, an executive guide to systematically harnessing imagination for corporate reinvention and rejuvenation. He also co-wrote Your Strategy Needs a Strategy, which proposes the strategy palette as a tool to enable business leaders to tune their approach to strategy to the specific environment of each business. Martin is also the editor of the 9 volume Inspiring the Next Game book series, published by De Gruyter, dealing with new ideas in management.
Martin has advised senior executives for more than 35 years on issues of strategy and innovation around the world and across industries, including Technology, Financial Institutions, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods and Health Care. Some of the specific topics he has advised on include adaptive strategy, strategy for multi-business systems, sustainability strategy, collective learning and innovation, corporate vitality, and trust.
Martin holds an MBA from Cranfield University School of Management and an MA in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge. He is currently a Senior Advisor to BCG, a Fellow of Judge Business School, a Director of Arabesque AI, a Trustee of London Institute for Mathematical Sciences and a senior advisor to a number of companies.
Now operating as Martin K Reeves Advisory, he provides strategic counsel to organizations navigating complex business challenges while continuing his research and writing on the future of business.
